ABOUT YOUNG VISIONS
Every year, The Arts Center in Orange celebrates the creativity of young people in our community through our annual exhibition Young Visions, a showcase of artworks by local school students! This year’s exhibition features 60 artworks from students in grades K-12 from Orange County Public Schools and Grymes Memorial School.
INSTALLATION
VIEWS
Join us from noon to 4pm on Saturday, April 9th for the opening reception of YOUNG VISIONS 2022! In addition to the exhibition in our Morin Gallery, we’ll have light refreshments and FREE art activities, so come out, celebrate the talents of these budding artists, and get creative.
Outdoor Piano Painting
Help us paint an old piano to give it a new life as a fixture in our community garden!
Paint the Town
Using old photos, maps, and drawings from the archive of the James Madison Museum of Orange County Heritage, participants and volunteers will create an artwork celebrating the Town of Orange. This artwork will be displayed during the Sesquicentennial Celebration this summer!
FISHBOWL RAFFLE
At 2pm, we’ll raffle off three prizes including a student art set, a gift certificate for classes, and a limited-edition bandana designed by Maria Pace! You must be present to win, so be sure to enter before the drawing!
YOUNG VISIONS 2022 is supported in part by the Virginia Commission for the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts.
